Wastewater characteristics
The composition and flow of leachate varies, depending on: garbage composition, landfill age, operating mode of the landfill, landfill depth, weather, and regional hydrological conditions.
Contains most of the pollutant components with high concentration (in excess of the standard by hundreds of times), which is toxic to the environment and humans, especially BOD, COD, N-NH3 are very high. Inorganic salts (Cl–, SO42-, CO32-) are high, there are many metals, toxic substances (Zn, Ni, Cr, Cu, Pb, Hg)
